Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The nose pops with bright black cherry and blackberry, followed by cinnamon, and spice, with a touch of black pepper. On the palate the wine is round and full-bodied, full of blackberry flavor, and finishing with a touch of red fruit intertwined with dusty tannins. This wine can age at least 10 years. Versatile with food, this wine pairs well with grilled red meats and vegetables, pork tenderloin and heavy cheeses.

Wine AdvocateI looked at five barrel samples from Sequoia Grove. One of them, amazingly, was their 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa, which is their least expensive wine and not yet in bottle. This is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Good, delicious Cabernet, with plenty of mostly red and black fruits, some spice, not a great deal of complexity, but fleshy and mouth-filling, it should be drunk over the next decade.
