Tightly coiled aromas of crushed limestone, grapefruit rind and lemon pith make for an appealing nose in this countywide blend. The palate shows plenty of chalky grip in line with those aromas, and the flavors soften just a bit toward Meyer lemon peel and sea salt.

Spiced melon, stone fruits, and a touch of pineapple all emerge from the 2019 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County, a nicely textured, rich, medium-bodied Chardonnay that represents a terrific value.
