Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Jam City, this guy is loaded with deep dark fruit that has a 45-60 second finish and demands another sip. I enjoyed with New Zeeland lamb chops and it was about as good as it gets.

The 2018 Altamura Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is deep garnet-purple in color. it slowly unfurls to reveal intense scents of blackcurrant cordial, blackberry preserves, and dried lavender, plus suggestions of crushed rocks and black olives. Full-bodied, the palate delivers vibrant, lively black fruit and mineral layers, supported by velvety tannins, finishing long and fragrant. Really different.

A big, juicy red with lots to love, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up both red and black fruits interwoven with spicy oak, minty herbs, and sandalwood-like aromas and flavors. It's nicely balanced, has soft, fine tannins, and a great finish. It's perfect for drinking over the coming 7-8 years, if not a decade or more. It's a classic, satisfying Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
