The grapes are fermented in a 20,000-kilo stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature between 25 and 27ºC to preserve the fruit that characterises this wine. Remontage is performed every day and delestage twice during maceration. After 12 days in a vat, the grapes are pressed, and malolactic fermentation takes place in a tank. Subsequently, the wine is aged in American oak barrels for one year, during which it acquires its characteristic aromatic balance, fine character and overall expression.

Best value Rioja in the shop. We had this with a barley vegetable soup and it was about as good as it gets. Light on its feet and full of dark fruit. Plenty of tannins and oak that linger for a 30 second + finish.

The juicy and primary red 2019 Cune Crianza shows ripeness, at only 13.5% alcohol (they aim for 13%), but also has freshness. The oak is very subtle and integrated into the fruit that is at the front of the nose and palate. It has a touch of rusticity, an earthy touch on the palate. It's a blend of Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha and Mazuelo from Rioja Alta that fermented in 20,000-liter stainless steel vats and matured in used (mostly) American oak barrels for one year. They produce three million bottles of this and bottle it throughout the year. This is the wine that sets the bar in the red portfolio. Very good.
