A powerhouse blend that's focused and balanced, yet loaded with personality and a sense of place. Spicy wild berry and mineral aromas lead to rich, layered flavors of boysenberry, toasted herb and anise wrapped around muscular tannins. Zinfandel, Mourvèdre, Tempranillo, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Best from 2014 through 2021. 515 cases made.

The 2010 Paderewski Vineyard caresses the palate with layers of expressive, sensual fruit. Zinfandel plays the leading role in the Paderewski, and that comes through loud and clear in the wine-s inner perfume and sweetness. The 2010 boasts gorgeous length and purity, even if it is a bit tight from its recent bottling. Paderewski is a little warmer than some of the other sites Saxum works with, which seems to give the wine a note of softness that is immensely appealing, especially with some time in the glass. The 2010 is 35% Zinfandel, 26% Mourvedre, 19% Tempranillo, 11% Syrah and 9% Petite Sirah. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.
