Chambers Rosewood Vineyards
Sourced from material aged between six and ten years old, this wine is the foundation of the style; displaying the fresh raisin aromas, rich fruit, clean spirit and great length of flavor on the palate which are the mark of all the Muscats of Rutherglen.
Wine Advocate
The Non-Vintage Muscat is dark amber. It offers fragrant floral, honey, caramel, and raisin notes and is slightly fuller in body. Chambers Rosewood Vineyards makes my short list of greatest fortified wine producers. The winery was started in 1858 and continues to be owned by the Chambers family. Some of the material for these blends is over 100 years old. As Robert Parker noted in Issue 168, these wines are the product of solera systems so there is very little, if any, difference from release to release.

Rich and spicy, it's a tower of nut, coffee and black cherry flavors that keep building upon one another, finishing explosively with more cherry, caramel and coffee notes on the long finish.

Medium amber in color, this Muscat boasts scents of berries, pineapple and raisin to go with flavors of honey and spice. It’s a lush, sweet style, with less complexity than some, but great texture and length.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying.
